As of 2007, BR Metals Fundições Board of Directors, aiming to increase the company competitiveness, follow the new trends and global changes as well as improve the relationship with employees and of these with the organization and the environment, has been working strongly to be granted the ISO 14001 certification.
Actions such as the rationalization of major industry inputs - electric energy, fuel and water have already been taken as well as important investments for the improvement of technological processes and environmental control systems in progress. Our residues are separated more efficiently, through our selective garbage collection program and disposed of in a correct manner, and only to licensed companies.
